Your school email or manual student ID/document verifies you're a real student — that's the only personal info we touch. After verification, your identity is converted to a one-way SHA-256 cryptographic hash generated server-side, and your raw verification record is safely deleted. The hash, not your email or name, is what gets attached to everything you post. Even if the entire database were breached, no post could be linked back to you.

By design, no. We don't store your email alongside your posts — ever. The hash is mathematically irreversible without the original secret, which only lives in a secure server-side environment. We cannot reverse-engineer who said what, and we can't be compelled to produce information we genuinely don't have.

Anonymity doesn't mean no accountability. Harassment of specific individuals, cult promotion, dangerous misinformation, and spam will get you flagged by the community. Three flags = a warning on your ghost. Five flags = a permanent ban from that verified email. Banned ghosts cannot post again.

Yes — you can delete your posts at any time from within the app. Deleted posts disappear from the feed immediately. Comments on a post remain unless individually deleted by the comment authors.

Kampfires are live anonymous group chats that ignite around trending campus moments. Anyone can start one — rooms trend when enough students vote them up and expire automatically after 24 hours. Everything inside is still 100% anonymous, same ghost identity, different room.

Phase 1 supports UNILAG, UI, OAU, FUTA, UNIBEN, UNN, LASU, UNILORIN, UNIPORT, MCU, PAU, FUNAI, and EKSU — that's 13 campuses. More schools will be added in Phase 2. If yours isn't on the list, email us and we'll prioritise it.
